The interpretation of forensic evidence is inherently flawed by human biases which can lead to inaccurate or misleading conclusions. Tobii Pro Insight is helping researchers at UCL’s Department of Security and Crime Science Center for the Forensic Sciences use eye tracking to examine the visual assessment processes within the field of forensic anthropology. The aim is to identify factors which influence varied interpretations and develop standardized methods of inspection to increase the accuracy of conclusions.
